Editorial Guidelines & Review Methodology
At Heavenka, our primary goal is to provide enterprise decision-makers with accurate, uncompromised technology evaluation frameworks. This document outlines our research standards, sourcing protocols, and correction procedures.
1. How We Evaluate Software Products
Whenever an article claims products have been "Tested," "Compared," or "Reviewed," we disclose our exact evaluation framework in the article's methodology badge. Our standard multi-tier evaluation framework includes:
- Vendor Specification Audits: Verification of technical claims against official product roadmaps, release notes, API documentation, and security certifications (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance).
- User Workflow Simulation: Hands-on testing in sandbox environments or live product demos examining core admin configuration, setup latency, and ease of routine employee tasks.
- Empirical Research Synthesis: Integration of peer-reviewed human resources studies and workforce data from authoritative institutions including SHRM, Gallup, Brandon Hall Group, and academic computer science research.
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Benchmarking: Uncovering real pricing schedules, mandatory onboarding packages, tier jump thresholds, and add-on costs.
2. Independence & Commercial Neutrality
Heavenka is monetized primarily through non-intrusive contextual display advertising (such as Google AdSense). Editorial content is produced completely independent of advertising operations.
3. Data Verification & Price Freshness
B2B software pricing and packaging tiers change frequently. To maintain accuracy:
- Every review guide includes a visible
Last Updatedtimestamp. - Our research desk conducts scheduled quarterly reviews of listed pricing tiers, feature lists, and vendor acquisitions.
- Readers and vendors can flag outdated pricing by emailing
[email protected]with current documentation.
4. Corrections & Transparency Policy
If an error of fact or out-of-date product specification is identified, our editorial desk verifies the correction against official vendor releases and updates the article immediately, noting the update date clearly on the page.
5. AI Assistance & Generative Technology Disclosure (Human-in-the-Loop Standard)
In accordance with Google Search Central guidance and modern publishing ethics, Heavenka maintains a strict policy of radical transparency regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence across our editorial and visual operations:
- AI-Assisted Market Research & Data Synthesis: We utilize advanced AI models to process large-scale B2B software documentation, synthesize public product roadmaps, aggregate feature matrices, and assist in initial draft structuring. This computational assistance allows our research desk to map complex multi-tier software ecosystems efficiently.
- Rigorous Human Editorial Oversight: We strictly prohibit unmonitored or fully automated publishing. Every published guide, evaluation rubric, and software comparison is thoroughly vetted, verified, fact-checked, and refined by human editors. Our team cross-references technical claims with authoritative third-party industry datasets (including SHRM, ATD, and vendor compliance filings).
- Original Financial & Interactive Modeling: The interactive financial tools on Heavenka (such as our LMS Cost Estimator, Cost-Per-Hire Calculator, and Training ROI Tool) are engineered with human-designed mathematical models to ensure realistic enterprise budgeting.
- Illustrative Generative Imagery: Article headers and conceptual cards are rendered using state-of-the-art generative visual models (including Google Nano Banana / Gemini Flash Image). These visuals serve an aesthetic, illustrative purpose to depict modern digital workplace environments and do not claim to represent exact vendor proprietary interface screenshots.
6. Authorship & Accountability
Guides and calculators are written, fact-checked and maintained by Ahmad Falih Hadika, whose name appears in the byline of every article and calculator. He writes in a personal capacity; views on Heavenka do not represent his employer. Corrections can be sent from any page through the "Report an error" link.
7. What the "Method" Label on Each Guide Means
Every guide shows a Method label in its summary box so you know what kind of evidence sits behind it:
- Desk research + vendor documentation review: conclusions are based on vendors' public documentation (pricing pages, feature matrices, release notes, security pages) and published third-party research. No claim of hands-on testing is made.
- Hands-on product testing: used only when an editor has worked inside the product (trial, sandbox or demo account). The guide names what was tested.
- Formula-based model with documented assumptions: used for calculators. Every formula, default value and assumption is printed on the tool page with a worked example you can reproduce by hand.
8. How We Build and Check Calculators
- Transparent formulas: each calculator page includes a "math behind the calculator" section, the assumptions behind any default values, and at least one worked example.
- Reproducibility: we test calculators against hand-calculated cases before publishing and after every change.
- Conservative defaults: where a benchmark range exists, defaults sit in the middle of that range, and pages explain how sensitive the result is to the most uncertain input.
- Local processing: calculations run in your browser; inputs are not sent to our servers.
9. Source Standards
- Statistics must link to the publisher's own page (research body, regulator or vendor) in the guide's Sources & References list. Secondary blogs are used only when the primary source is paywalled, and we say so.
- We record the year of every statistic and re-check figures older than two years at each review cycle.
- If a figure cannot be traced to a primary source, we remove it rather than publish it.
- Vendor-commissioned studies (for example, Forrester Total Economic Impact reports) are labeled as commissioned.
10. Update Cadence
Pricing-sensitive guides are reviewed quarterly; regulatory topics (EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, OSHA) are reviewed whenever the underlying rule changes. The "Last reviewed" date on a page changes only when an editor has actually re-checked it.
