Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Heavenka wants every HR, recruiting and L&D professional to be able to read our guides and use our calculators, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or voice control.
Our target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We consider the site partially conformant: most content meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully do so (see known limitations).
What we do
- Semantic HTML with one H1 per page and a logical heading order, so screen-reader users can navigate by heading.
- Breadcrumb navigation and a table of contents on long guides.
- Calculator inputs have visible labels; results are announced through ARIA live regions.
- Text and interactive elements are designed for sufficient color contrast, and the layout reflows on screens down to 320 px wide.
- Calculators show their formulas as text, not only as images.
- Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology; meaningful images have alternative text.
Known limitations
- Some older calculator pages use custom controls (sliders, collapsible FAQs) that may not be fully operable with every screen reader.
- Wide comparison tables can require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Third-party content such as advertisements is not under our direct control and may not meet the same standard.
Technical specifications
The site relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript (calculators require JavaScript). It is tested with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Feedback
If you hit a barrier, email [email protected] with the page URL and a short description. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix confirmed issues in the next release.
